Statement by the President of the Parliament following the Collegium meeting on 4 December 2018:
At today’s meeting of the Collegium of the President of the Parliament we have concluded that the Parliament is trying to find the best solution, within its Constitutional competences, for overcoming the situation.
The regular consultations that we are holding are aimed at trying to clarify and overcome a politically and legally complicated situation within state institutions.
I want to emphasise that all MP groups are taking part in this, regardless of different positions and evident political differences.
I would like to emphasise that we, as representatives of the citizens, have great responsibility to weigh the words that we are saying wisely and carefully. I expect the same thing from all individuals and institutions outside the Parliament.”
