President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, spoke today with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Montenegro, Mr Ridi Kurtezi.
The interlocutors jointly assessed that Montenegro and Albania had excellent relations and pointed out the need for further strengthening of overall cooperation with a special emphasis on the economy.
President Brajović emphasised that a significant contribution has been made to the development of relations between the two countries by the national minorities, with further strengthening of parliamentary cooperation and maintaining intense political dialogue at the highest level.
Ambassador Kurtezi stressed that his diplomatic activity will primarily focus on the stronger use of potentials for the development of economic cooperation.
Considering the fact that the two neighboring countries share natural resources as well, the meeting covered issues of the need to improve coordination when it came to their protection and assessment.
The President of the Parliament once again confirmed the readiness of Montenegro to provide help to the European path of the Republic of Albania with its experience.
