Bilateral relations between Montenegro and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan have been developing without obstacles, thus providing oportunity for further parliamentary and economic cooperation - it was concluded at the meeting of the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, with non-resident Ambassador of Jordan, Mr Fawwaz Al-Eitan.
The interlocutors assessed that parliamentary dialogue at the highest level and within the framework of friendship groups represented a good basis for the development of relations in many areas and the use of economic potentials of the two countries. Highly developed medical tourism in Jordan, agriculture and trade exchange, were highlighted as activities in which best business practices and cooperation could be used.
Ambassador of Jordan stressed the interest of intensifying relations with the countries of the Western Balkans, among which Montenegro has taken a special place possessing the political stability and potential in many areas.
President Brajović acknowledged preservation of stability and security of Jordan, bearing in mind the challenges that this country has faced, primarily with the large number of emigrants currently making up almost half of the population of the Kingdom.
