President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, sent a congratulatory message to the Archbishop of Bar, the Bishop of Kotor and all Catholic believers, on the occasion of the Catholic Christmas:
"By nourishing and respecting the highest values taught by Christianity: love, forgiveness and respect, in the centuries-old coexistence of the multi-ethnic and multi-national Montenegro, we have reached the highest standards, expected from our part as a democratic society, and we have created conditions for members of all faiths to celebrate their big holidays in freedom and joy. I believe that with good understanding, perseverance and respect for our differences - Montenegro and its citizens have and will create even better conditions for all people, above all by reaching the set values of standard of living, peaceful and safe existence of all citizens, preserving cultural heritage, and creating a tolerant, democratic and progressive foundation on which the generations to follow will build and develop their faith, existence and conditions for their healthy offspring of good birth.
With the desire that you, your families and the community spend holidays in peace, prosperity and joy, I wish a merry Christmas to all Catholic believers - the most joyful Christian holiday."
