President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović, extended the congratulatory message on the occasion of the International Children's Book Day – 2 April, to be marked in the National Library and other institutions in Montenegro:

"On the occasion of the International Children's Book Day, I congratulate the enthusiasts of the National Library of Montenegro "Đurđe Crnojević" on their engagement in promoting the value of reading. I also grant recognition and express gratitude to hundreds of teachers, as well as employees in other libraries of Montenegro, who instil everyday love of reading to our children, despite the challenges of the new digital age or using their availability.

May the International Children's Book Day be a reminder of Andersen's birthday, and especially of some of the most important Montenegrin authors for children: Čedom Vuković, Dragan Radulović, Dušan Đurišić and many others".
