- The European Union, whose values are shared by Montenegro, is the best model of togetherness and partner cooperation providing peace, security and prosperity of European states and highest democratic and civilisation values. Montenegro continues with devoted implementation of reforms with the aim of meeting necessary criteria for membership, and what is more important - continuously proves itself as a reliable and credible partner of the European family of nations. 

With gratitude for the previous assistance provided by the European Parliament and your personally to the European orientation of Montenegro, let me express my expectation that the future composition of the European Parliament would be a strong promoter of the enlargement policy - says the letter of the President of the Parliament of Montenegro.
