President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović extended a congratulatory message to Mr David-Maria Sassoli, on the occasion of his being elected the new President of the European Parliament.

In his letter, among other things, he voices the conviction that the European Parliament and its President Sassoli will always have a true and reliable ally in the Parliament of Montenegro, an ally ready to contribute to the strengthening of parliamentary ties, significant for further strengthening of the partner relationship between Montenegro and the European Union.

- Fully committed to our European future, we are approximating the EU membership by adopting the necessary criteria, and we are giving additional arguments to the European Parliament for an even stronger assertion of the enlargement policy, it is said in the congratulatory message of President Brajović.
