Luxembourg will immediately give consent for Montenegro to open the remaining chapter eight relating to competition - said today Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg Mr Jean Asselborn, at his meeting with President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović. The President of the Parliament and Minister Asselborn discussed the developments in Montenegro and European institutions, emphasising as significant that the majority of the new composition of the European Parliament was made up by advocates for the EU concept.
At his meeting with the President and Secretary General of the OSCE PA Mr George Tsereteli and Mr Roberto Montella, they pointed out the commitment and active relationship of the Parliament of Montenegro with this organisation, as well as that the reform processes in our country were being carefully followed. With OSCE PA's Special Representative on South East Europe Mr Mark Pritchard it was mentioned that OSCE PA very much appreciated that fact that Montenegro invested a lot of its capacities in providing support to regional stability, which was also expected from our country in the future. President Brajović also met with Ms Doris Barnett, chairperson of the Socialist Group and candidate for OSCE PA's President.
President Brajović informed the rrepresentatives of Montenegrin diaspora in Luxembourg about the current developments in the motherland, and they also discussed specific issues on better connectivity of immigrants living in Luxembourg with their hometowns in Montenegro. President of the Parliament said that all officials of Luxembourg highlighted good level of integration of Montenegrin diaspora, which makes up a significant percentage of the population structure of this Benelux country.
The delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro at the 28th Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA) in Luxembourg also includes MPs Ms Aleksandra Vuković and Mr Nikola Rakočević.
