President of the Parliament with the new Head of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro

President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović today received the newly appointed Head of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Ambassador Ms Maryse Daviet. President Brajović wished successful work in Montenegro to his interlocutor, and emphasised the importance of continuation of good cooperation with the OSCE.

Ms Daviet once again stressed positive conclusions of the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission Final Report on parliamentary elections held in October, stating that the Report included a few recommendations, and expressed hope that those would be accepted.

President Brajović expressed pleasure with the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission Final Report and emphasised readiness for accepting and implementing recommendations from the said report.

The Head of the OSCE Mission emphasised that non-participation of the opposition in the work of the Parliament was not a good message, given that the elections were assessed as fair and free by relevant international organisations.

Ahead of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Winter Session, the President of the Parliament informed the Head of the Mission on the upcoming meetings, both with the OSCE Secretary General and other high officials.
