On the occasion of 9 December, Municipality Day of Danilovgrad, President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, extended a congratulatory message to its citizens and the local leadership:
"On the occasion of 9 December, the Day of Liberation of Danilovgrad that the proud inhabitants of Bjelopavlići mark as the Municipality Day, I send my sincere congratulations with the wish for further progress of the Municipality, for the benefit of all its citizens. The 150th anniversary of the Municipality of Danilovgrad and the 75th anniversary of liberation, serve as a good opportunity to remember the previous generations who, with their courage, vision and dedication, built and improved their living conditions and made their descendants the proud heirs of their honourable deeds.
Strategic activities for the protection of the Zeta River can be a good example of the good cooperation and responsible attitude of state authorities, local government and the civil sector towards the natural wealth and future of the generations who live here. It is realistic to expect that in the period that lies ahead, the state will continue to create incentive conditions for entrepreneurship of the local population, as well as other investors from the country and the world. This will significantly valuate the potentials that this region possesses in abundance, Danilovgrad will become increasingly recognisable on the economic and tourist map of Montenegro, and will create more suitable conditions for citizens to live and work in this unique city."
