President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, hosted today the newly appointed Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to Montenegro, Mr Panagiotis Partsos. Expressing wishes for a successful mandate, President Brajović said that Montenegro and Greece shared foreign policy priorities and have successfully cooperated within NATO structures. He also expressed gratitude to Greece for its continued support on Montenegro's European path, with the expectation that the support would not be missed in the period ahead.
Ambassador Partsos commanded the progress of Montenegro with regard to reforms and expressed support for its membership in European organisations. The interlocutors agreed that all Western Balkan countries should become members of the European Union, respecting the regatta principle. The meeting covered discussion on strengthening of parliamentary co-operation, as parliaments represented an important part of the system of democratic societies, as well as strengthening the economic exchanges between the two friendly states.
