President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, wished the citizens of Bijelo Polje and the local government a happy Municipality Day – 3 January:

"I congratulate the citizens of Bijelo Polje on their Municipality Day and Liberation Day achieved by the heroism and sacrifices of the Seventh Youth Brigade.

The strong anti-fascist tradition has been reflected in the value of the harmonious coexistence of religions and nations, as an important precondition for the democratic development of this centre of economy and culture in the north of Montenegro.

With the continued care of the state authorities and the continued support of local community development projects, Bijelo Polje will continue with its economic progress and create a safe and promising place in the Valley of the River Lim for the life of young generations."
