New Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Montenegro Mr Nabila Abdelaziz Nasir Saeed Alshamsi paid her inaugural visit to President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović.
Congratulating the Ambassador for assuming her office, President Brajović assessed that conditions have been created for making strategic partnership between the two states, which would represent an excellent platform for further improvement of bilateral relations and cooperation in all segments of mutual importance. President Brajović emphasised that the valuable donation of seven tons of protective medical equipment provided by the UAE to the state of Montenegro was another confirmation of the friendship between the two countries, having special significance in the times when it is necessary to preserve the health of citizens.
Ambassador Alshamsi stressed that her mission in Montenegro would be focused on the strengthening of relations between the two states and that the UAE saw Montenegro as strategically important partner. The Ambassador especially commended all the activities taken by the responsible institutions of Montenegro in fighting Covid-19.
The interlocutors agreed that in the coming period, special attention should be paid to further strengthening of the overall relations between the two countries, especially in the field of economy with an emphasis on investments.
