Mr Brajović with Israeli Ambassador Ms Alona Fisher-Kamm

Ambassador of Israel to Montenegro Ms Alona Fisher-Kamm paid her farewell visit to President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović.

President Brajović thanked Ambassador Fisher-Kamm for her wholehearted commitment and personal contribution to the improvement of relations between the two countries during her term. He expressed pleasure with the achieved level of the overall relations, noting that there was possibility for their further improvement in many important fields.

The President of the Parliament stressed the importance of the Jewish community in Montenegro and their cooperation with the Montenegrin Parliament, reminding that in Montenegro, a country that fosters historical values of freedom and anti-fascism, there has never been anti-Semitic messages.

Ambassador Fisher-Kamm said that Montenegro and Israel were continuously developing friendly relations and thanked for all the efforts made by our state in that sense. The Ambassador assessed that today’s opening of the Israeli Honorary Consulate in Podgorica was a possibility for more intensive activities and overall presence of Israel in Montenegro. She also stressed that Montenegro reaffirms its role in global efforts to preserve the memory of Holocaust victims and the fight against anti-Semitism, as permanent commitments of present and future generations.
