President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, wished a happy Municipality Day of Plužine, marked on 4 August, to the local leadership and all the citizens of Plužine:
"Since the time of Bajo Pivljanin, until the great casualties of the Second World War and the final liberation on 4 August 1943, generations of citizens of Piva region have earned our greatest respect. I am convinced that in Plužine, the libertarian heritage will be more and more appreciated over time, and its values even more clearer. It is the duty of the whole of Montenegro to nurture, despite all the challenges, the living memory of the heroes and the anti-fascist legacy of Plužine, and to defend its state from constant influences towards national identity.
With the membership to NATO, the long-term security stability of Montenegro has been strengthened, and by joining the European Union, to which we are getting closer, we will be increasingly focused on the activities of a sustainable economy in the period ahead. With its European perspective, Plužine will get the opportunity for faster exploitation of its multiple exceptional potentials. Ecotourism, production of healthy food, modern cultural environment and other stable sources of financing, with existing energy resources, and with the support of the state in relation to infrastructure and other kind of development, will improve the standard of living of the citizens and make Plužine an increasingly desirable place to live."
