President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, wished a happy Municipality Day of Petnjica, marked on 4 August, to the local leadership and all the citizens of Petnjica:

"During the previous eight years, as an individual local community and in cooperation with state bodies and a dedicated diaspora, the Municipality of Petnjica has symbolised the determination of the citizens of Montenegro to create their own future independently in the given circumstances and to the extent possible. Furthermore, the contribution and support of citizens of this area to strategic decisions on the state level, has remained permanently written in the history of our country.

The progress of Petnjica, Gornji Bihor and the entire north of Montenegro, in many areas, will be further encouraged by additional initiated and planned infrastructural development, in which the Bar-Boljare highway brings a step further. Regional accessibility, and above all the European path of Montenegro, will create a more favourable investment climate for the exploitation of the best resources of Petnjica, which will make life in this area even more attractive to the local population and returnees from the diaspora. It will be a contribution to a more balanced regional development of Montenegro, which in each of its regions abounds in natural beauty, wealth and above all quality hard working people.
