President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, wished a happy Municipality Day of Nikšić, marked on 18 September, to the local leadership and all the citizens of Nikšić:

"The citizens of Nikšić celebrate the Municipality Day on 18 September with plenty of reason and pride as a symbol of libertarianism, anti-fascist struggle and memory of their brave fellow citizens, including more than a thousand who gave their lives. Following their ideals, Montenegro today is a civic, member country of NATO on the path to European Union, to which modern Nikšić has given its full contribution, and the municipality, with all the challenges of the modern age, has been creating the preconditions for a modern industrial, university and tourist center.

This year, Nikšić is celebrating its holiday faced with the great challenge of preserving the health of its citizens that Montenegro and the whole world have been fighting against. In the belief that the Municipality will win all its fights with wisdom and responsibility, I warmly congratulate the Municipality Day of Nikšić and send my best wishes!"
