The letter, inter alia, says that this day has multiple historical significance, since it marks the day of victory over the darkest ideology of the 20th century, but also the day when, on the grounds of anti-fascist values, the creation of united Europe has started, therefore it is very important to mark it in a special way within the institutions of education system.
President Brajović believes that the class devoted to the 9th of May would be a good opportunity for students to learn about anti-fascism in the context of today's social values and integration processes of Montenegro.
- I think that educating young generations about the forms and dangers of pro-fascist phenomenon in contemporary society is extremely important, as well as identifying potential challenges in maintaining anti-fascist values that underpin modern Montenegro. - Because, the history has shown countless times how easy it is to lose acquired rights and adopted values, if they are not properly and continuously presented to the new generations, says the closing of the letter that the President of the Parliament of Montenegro sent to the Minister of Education.
