Keynote speakers will also be the Minister of Human and Minority Rights in the Government of Montenegro, Mr Mehmed Zenka, Resident Coordinator of the UN System and UNDP Resident Representative for Montenegro, Ms Fiona McCluney and the Head of Political, European Integration and Trade Section of the EU Delegation to Montenegro, Ms Plamena Halacheva. The objectives of the program will be presented by the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Gender Equality Committee, Ms Nada Drobnjak and the Program Manager at the UNDP Country Office in Montenegro, Ms Kaća Đuričković.
The objective of the educational process was to enable the representatives of the parliamentary political parties to independently implement this program for the further promotion of gender equality, in order to adopt policies in line with the interests of society as a whole. Training sessions were organised in order to encourage better understanding of the importance of women's participation in politics and introduction of gender mainstreaming in the work of the parties, to acquire knowledge about the current situation in Montenegro in terms of women's rights, as well as to transfer that knowledge to others. Following this process, certified trainers are to continue education in their political parties and thus contribute to their gender sensitisation.
