President Brajović hosts newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia to Montenegro, Mr Vilmārs Heniņš

President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, hosted in Podgorica today the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia to Montenegro, Mr Vilmārs Heniņš.

President Brajović congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment as a non-resident ambassador to Montenegro and wished him every success in his diplomatic mission.

The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the very good and friendly bilateral relations between the two countries, which were based on political, economic and other interests and shared values.

They also pointed out that there were many opportunities for deepening of cooperation, and that Montenegro and Latvia have been tied with constant struggle for freedom and preservation of state and national identity.

The President expressed his gratitude for the continuous support that Latvia has been providing for the sake of the realisation of our European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations. The interlocutors exchanged views on other issues of regional and global importance as well.
