President Brajović to participate in the debate “Montenegro and Participation of Women in Politics - Way to Equality”

President of the Parliament of Montenegro  Mr Ivan Brajović will participate in the debate “Montenegro and Participation of Women in Politics - Way to Equality”, within the project “Journalistic Investigation and Campaign: Women for Election(s), Women for Democracy” which will be held in hotel Centre Ville in Podgorica, on Monday 29 May 2017, from 9:40 to 13:00h.

President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović will have a speech on the role of women in politics.

The debate will be opened by Mr Henk van del Dool, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Belgrade, Ms Suzana Pribilović, Minister for Public Administration at the Government of Montenegro, Mr Aivo Orav, Ambassador of the EU Delegation to Montenegro, and Ms Milka Tadić Mijović, President of the Centre for Investigative Journalism of Montenegro.

The debate is organised by the independent weekly Monitor and Centre for Investigative Journalism of Montenegro (CIN-CG), within the project Women for Democracy, Women for Election(s), which is implemented with the support of the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The aim of the project is to encourage discussion in society on the position of women and to strengthen actions which would assist in the processes and reforms leading towards equal position of both genders, which was one of important tasks and challenges of Montenegro on its path towards the European Union.
