On this occasion as well, President Brajović emphasised how much Montenegro appreciated continuous support of Slovakia and its officials, starting from preparation for the renewal of state sovereignty, to Euro-Atlantic and European integration processes of our country. The President of the Parliament emphasised that, after the achievement of two great goals which were the renewal of independence and NATO membership, ahead of Montenegro was the path towards the European Union, and on domestic front - full commitment to economic development.
The Minister of Defence of Slovakia presented the intent of Slovakia to continue to provide a strong friendly support to Montenegro after its NATO accession and on its path towards the European Union. That support will be reflected, among other things, in sharing the best practice experiences, but also in avoiding mistakes on that path.
At the meeting they also discussed absence of the opposition in the Parliament, and the distinguished guest from Slovakia pointed out that dialogue and cooperation were the path for ensuring progress in a country, and not boycott.
On this occasion, the Minister of Defence of Slovakia presented to President Brajović congratulatory messages of Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Mr Andrej Danko and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic Mr Miroslav Lajčak regarding Montenegro’s membership in NATO.
