"The valley of Lim has always been the cradle of famous cultural monuments, people and events, so it is not surprising that Berane is the homeland of the Monastery Đurđevi Stupovi, as well as members of the Vasojević tribe like Mojsije Zečević, Gavro Vuković and many others, who with wisdom and weapons had built and cherished the freedom of Montenegro through time. The town of Berane can be proud of its multiethnic and multiconfesional harmony, which serves not only to the honor of the town beneath the peaks of the Mountain Bjelasica, but also to the civil Montenegro.

With the entry of our country into NATO, integration into the European Union, as well as with the joint efforts of the country and local government, the preconditions for the revitalisation and more dynamic economic development of Berane are created, which it deserves because of its personal, infrastructural and natural capacities.
