With regard to the text published in daily “Vijesti” on 19 September 2017, titled “Allowance for secretaries due to the new work technique”, we would like to inform the public that the title and content of the text are not true.
Respective decision, proposed by the Secretary General of the Parliament of Montenegro, which became a subject of manipulation through the said text, has been withdrawn from the procedure before the agenda of the 15th Meeting of the Administrative Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro (held on 14 September 2017) was determined, therefore it was not discussed.
Meetings of the Administrative Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro are open to the public, so it is surprising, that five days after the meeting of the Committee, unverified and false information are being published about the decision on allowance for secretaries due to complexity of the work they do. The explanation statement of the decision was not interpreted in a completely clear and precise manner, so the public has been deprived of the reasons that inspired the proposer to put the current decision in the procedure.
In this concreate example, we cannot speak about the accidental error, so it remains unclear what are the ultimate intentions of the author of the text.
We expect that, in accordance with the Code of Journalists, and in the interest of the public, journalist of daily “Vijesti” will report professionally in the future from the meetings of the Administrative Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro.
