At the meeting of the Administrative Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro that was held today, Mr Nikola Vukčević, member of the RTCG Council, pleaded with the fact that the circumstance stipulated by Article 26, paragraph 1, item 5 of the Law on National Public Broadcaster of Radio and Television of Montenegro occured, i.e. while performing the function of a member of the RTCG Council in June 2016, he gained property benefit on the basis of the Contractual relationship with the company "Galileo Production" DOO Podgorica, the activity of which was the production of films, videos and television programs.
Committee members posed several questions to Mr Nikola Vukčević, member of the RTCG Council, regarding the circumstances under Article 26 of the Law on National Public Broadcaster of Radio and Television of Montenegro, with regard to determining whether he violated the abovesaid article.
After all the questions were exhausted by the members of the Committee, the Chairperson of the Committee, Mr Luigj Shkrela, thanked Mr Nikola Vukčević for participating in the work and his contribution for the preparation of members of the Committee for making a decision on his possible dismissal from the RTCG Council.
Apart from the member of the RTCG Council, Mr Nikola Vukčević, the meeting was attended by his legal representative, lawyer Nenad Guberinić.
The meeting was also attended by the representative of the US Embassy, Mr Bernard Chobay, from the Media Department.
The meeting was attended by the Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Genci Nimanbegu, as an interested MP.
The meeting was also attended by the President of the NGO Prosperity Forum of Montenegro, Mr Predrag Mugoša.
After the statement of Mr Nikola Vukčević, member of the RTCG Council, the Committee unanimously established that Mr Nikola Vukčević violated Article 26, paragraph 1, point 5 of the Law on National Public Broadcaster of Radio and Television of Montenegro, and unanimously decided to propose to the Parliament of Montenegro to dismiss Mr Nikola Vukčević of the function of the member of the RTCG Council.
