Administrative Committee holds its 30th Meeting

The Committee has determined a List of candidates for one member of the RTCG Council, by authorised proposer

At today’s 30th meeting, the Administrative Committee of the 26th Parliament of Montenegro has determined a List of candidates for one member of the RTCG Council, by authorised proposer - universities of Montenegro, and decided to propose to the Parliament of Montenegro to appoint Mr Ivan Jovetić, Master of Economics and candidate of the University of Donja Gorica (UDG), as a member of the RTCG Council.

Within the item “Current issues”, the Committee has

- established a working group composed of:  Ms Marta Šćepanović, Ms Ana Nikolić and Mr Adrijan Vuksanović, members of the Committee, tasked to inspect documentation by authorised proposers upon public invitations for appointing members of the Agency for Electronic Media Council and RTCG Council, in order to explore the timeliness and accuracy of the proposals;

- decided to send an invitation to all MP groups in the Parliament of Montenegro, as well as to parliamentary parties which have not formed MP groups, to deliver their proposals of candidates for the future Committee on monitoring the application of the Law on Election of Councillors and MPs in the part relating to the media, in accordance with Article 64b of the Law on Election of Councillors and MPs and Article 9 of the Law on Election of the President of Montenegro; and

- decided to continue the procedure for appointing members of the Administrative Board of the Fund for Protection and Exercising of Minority Rights after the appointment of the Higher Education Council of Montenegro, when conditions would be created to determine the proposal for the full composition of the Administrative Board of the Fund.
