The Administrative Committee of the 26th Parliament of Montenegro, at its 59th Meeting held today, has initiated - in line with the Law on National Public Broadcaster Radio and Television of Montenegro - the procedure for nominating members of the Council of RTCG, by sending the Public invitation to authorised proposers proposing candidates for a member of the Council of the RTCG, as follows:
- universities in Montenegro, for one member;
- Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts and Matica crnogorska, for one member;
- national cultural institutions and NGOs from the field of culture, for one member;
- Chamber of Economy of Montenegro and association of employers represented in the Social Council, for one member;
- NGOs from the field of media, except for association of broadcasters, for one member;
- NGOs from the field of protection of human rights and freedoms, dealing with the achievement and protection of: national, gender and overall equality; right to a healthy environment; rights of consumers; rights of persons with disabilities or rights to education and social protection, for two members;
- the trade union represented in the Social Council, for one member; and
- Montenegrin Olympic Committee and Paralympic Committee of Montenegro, for one member;
The Committee determined the text of the Public invitation and the application form for nominating members of the Council of the Radio and Television of Montenegro.
The Committee decided to publish the application form of the Public invitation to authorised proposers proposing candidates for a member of the Council of the RTCG on the website of the Parliament of Montenegro, while the Public invitation will be published in the Official Gazette of Montenegro, website of the Parliament of Montenegro, and in the daily newspapers Dan.
