Delegation of the Administrative Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro, headed by the Chairperson of the Committee, Mr Luigj Shkrela, met in the Croatian Parliament with Mr Ante Sanader, Chairperson of the Elections, Appointments and Administration Committee of the Croatian Parliament and Mr Žarko Tušek, Chairman of the Credentials and Privileges Commission of the Croatian Parliament. The meeting was also attended by Mr Silvano Hrelja, Deputy Chairperson of the Elections, Appointments and Administration Committee, Mr Darko Parić, Deputy Chairman of the Credentials and Privileges Commission and Mr Arsen Bauk, member of the Elections, Appointments and Administration Committee. Representing the Service of the Croatian Parliament, the meeting was attended by Ms Sandra Mužek Matišić, Secretary of the Elections, Appointments and Administration Committee, Ms Vlatka Dragia, Secretary of the Credentials and Privileges Commission and Ms Silvana Vukobrat, Senior expert secretary at the Elections, Appointments and Administration Committee.
After the introductory speeches of the Chairperson Shkrela, Mr Sanader and Mr Tušek, rights of members of the Croatian Parliament were presented and the criteria for the abolition of immunity.
The aim of the meeting was the exchange of knowledge and information of the above mentioned committees, being of great importance for their further work.
The meeting was dedicated to the exchange of experiences and examples of good practice in the part of the rights and obligations of MPs during their mandate and other issues within the competence of the Administrative Committee, with a special emphasis on the presence of MPs at the meetings of committees and sittings of the Parliament.
In addition, members of the Committee met with the Ambassador of Montenegro to Croatia, Mr Boro Vučinić, and representatives of the National Union of Montenegrins of Croatia.
