At the Twelfth Meeting that was held today, the Committee considered the Proposal for the 2016 Final Budget Statement of Montenegro, in accordance with provisions of the Law on Parliamentary Oversight of Security and Defence Sector, with the presence of representatives of the proposer and representatives of consumer units from the security and defense sector: Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Interior and National Security Agency.

On this occasion, the Committee devoted special attention to the activities of authorities and institutions in the security and defense sector and the funds spent for their realisation for the stated period.

On the basis of the submitted document and the conducted discussion, the Committee noted that consumer units from the security and defense sector spent the funds allocated for 2016 appropriately, in accordance with the Law and current legal regulations and performed their function efficiently in the observed period. In this regard, the Committee unanimously proposed to the Parliament the adoption of the Proposal for the 2016 Final Budget Statement of Montenegro.
