Chairperson of the Security and Defence Committee Mr Obrad Mišo Stanišić today has hosted newly-appointed Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Montenegro H.E. Mr Karel Urban. Mr Stanišić and Mr Urban noted that cooperation between Montenegro and the Czech Republic was at a satisfactory level, and that security and defence committees of the two countries would continue to collaborate intensively.

Mr Karel Urban said that there was a great room for sharing experiences between the Czech Republic and Montenegro, particularly with regard to joint challenges such as Russian influence on the Balkans, fight against terrorism and hybrid warfare.  In that context, Urban expressed the readiness of the Czech Republic to offer expert and technical assistance to Montenegro, adding that closer police cooperation between the two countries would be of particularly beneficial.

Chairperson of the Security and Defence Committee Mr Obrad Mišo Stanišić stressed that it would be very useful for both the Czech Republic and Montenegro to share experience in the field of organised crime and corruption, because that is a problem that burdens all countries of the world, but also the cybercrime, especially given the complexity and level of social danger that this phenomenon carries with itself.
