The occasion for this significant meeting was the celebration of 100th anniversary since the mutiny of sailors in the Bay of Kotor, which was also attended by the delegation of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic - War Veterans Department, as well as Chairperson of the Committee on Defence of the Czech Parliament Ms Jana Černochová. On this occasion, the ceremonious opening of the exhibition in the Historical Archives was organised, as well as a short film on the event and a presentation of the conservation works on the monument in Škaljari.
During the conversation, the interlocutors presented previous most significant results of working bodies as well as the activities planned for the upcoming period, while special reference was given to the issue of cooperation of the two committees, which was estimated as exceptionally significant and mutually beneficial, especially bearing in mind the significance of the exchange of experiences and the sharing of knowledge from the legislative and oversight roles of the parliaments.
As a token of good bilateral relations between the two countries, the Defence and Security Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro received the invitation to be a guest of the Parliament of the Czech Republic - the Committee on Defence as a form of the best demonstration and intention of further promotion of work and cooperation of the two committees, through the sharing of experiences and knowledge acquired in their previous parliamentary work.
In conclusion of the conversation, the interlocutors assessed the meeting as exceptionally useful, especially bearing in mind that it represented a demonstration of improvement of cooperation of the two committees and opened the way for new parliamentary activities in the upcoming period, to the mutual satisfaction.
The meeting between Chairperson of the Security and Defence Committee Mr Obrad Mišo Stanišić and Chairperson of the Committee on Defence of the Czech Parliament Ms Jana Černochová was also attended by Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Montenegro H.E. Mr Karel Urban.
