At their Meeting held today, the Security and Defence Committee held a consultative hearing of military and diplomatic representatives of Montenegro prior to their assuming of office: Brigadier General Ilija Daković, defence envoy to the United States of America, and non-residential defence envoy to Canada; captain of the battleship Darko Vuković, defence envoy to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland - London and non-residential defence envoy to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Kingdom of Belgium, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and Iceland; Lieutenant Colonel Esmer Gašanin, defence envoy to the Federal Republic of Germany - Berlin and non-residential defence envoy to the Republic of Poland, the Kingdom of Norway, the Kingdom of Sweden, the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Estonia and the Republic of Finland; and Lieutenant Colonel Veljko Mališić, residential defence envoy to the Republic of Austria - Vienna, and assistant military advisor at the Permanent Mission of Montenegro to the UN, OSCE and other international organizations in Vienna, and non-residential assistant defence envoy to the Republic of Slovakia, the Czech Republic and the Republic of Hungary.
After the debate was held, the Security and Defence Committee expressed its full support for the activities that the military and diplomatic representatives highlighted as priorities for the military and diplomatic cooperation of Montenegro with the countries in which they would perform their duties.
