At the Second Meeting of the Security and Defence Committee held today, with attendance by the representatives of the proposer of the law and representatives of consumer units from the security and defence sector, it considered the Proposal for the 2017 Budget Law of Montenegro, in part relating to the following consumer units: Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Interior, and National Security Agency. On this occasion the Committee focused special attention on the implementation of activities of bodies and institutions in the field of security and defence and the necessary funds for their effective implementation in the upcoming year 2017.
Following the comprehensive discussion, the Committee, among other things, noted that the funds for consumer units in the security and defence sector in the Proposal for the 2017 Budget Law of Montenegro were realistically determined and estimated that they would enable implementation of the planned activities and conduct in accordance with the specified responsibilities. The Committee adopted the Opinion, which, in accordance with Article 137 of the Rules of Procedure, it would submit to the lead working body - the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget.
In compliance with provisions of the Law on Parliamentary Oversight of Security and Defence Sector, at today’s Meeting the Committee considered the Proposal for the Law on the 2015 Final Budget Statement of Montenegro, along with the Report on Audit of the Proposal for the Law on the 2015 Final Budget Statement of Montenegro in part relating to the noted consumer units as well as the Final Report of the State Audit Institution of Montenegro on the Audit of the 2015 Annual Financial Report of the National Security Agency.
