Security and Defence Committee holds its 52nd Meeting

The Committee adopted the 2019 Performance Report of the Security and Defence Committee and the 2020 Plan of Parliamentary Oversight, and passed a decision for holding a control hearing

At today’s 52nd meeting, members of the Security and Defence Committee have adopted the 2019 Performance Report of the Security and Defence Committee and the 2020 Plan of Parliamentary Oversight.

After summing up the activities carried out during the past year, members of the Committee stated that they would continue to work with full attention and devotion in the following period on implementing parliamentary oversight over the security and defence sector, thereby contribute in a good and efficient manner to creating conditions for ever better functioning of this sector.

Also, the Committee passed a decision on control hearing of representatives of the Ministry of Interior, Police Administration, Public Prosecution Office and National Security Agency on the topic: “Security situation in Montenegro in the light of the latest developments, operations and clashes between organised crime groups”. After obtaining information from responsible institutions, the Chairperson will decide on the date for holding the control hearing.
