On Tuesday 20 June 2017, the Security and Defence Committee will host a delegation of the NATO Defense College from Rome, headed by Dean of the College, Brigadier General František Mičánek.
The topics of conversation between members of the Security and Defence Committee and 60 members of the delegation of the NATO Defense College will be Montenegro’s membership in the Alliance as well as the current political situation in the country.
The idea of a NATO Defense College originated with General Dwight Eisenhower, the first Supreme Allied Commander Europe, who was the first to realise the need for establishing a new international institution with a unique education mission.
The mission of the NATO Defense College is to contribute to the effectiveness and cohesion of the Alliance via its role as a centre of education and research on transatlantic security issues.
The meeting will be held in the Plenary Hall, starting at 11:00h.
