Members of the Security and Defence Committee meet with the delegation of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia

Members of the Security and Defence Committee, Mr Luiđ Ljubo Škrelja, Ms Marta Šćepanović, Mr Miodrag Vuković, Mr Milorad Vuletić and Mr Branko Čavor met today with the delegation of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, headed by the Speaker of the Assembly, Mr Talat Xhaferi.

Euro-Atlantic integrations of Montenegro and Macedonia were in the focus of today's meeting of two delegations and exchange of experiences in the context of reforms necessary for EU and NATO membership.

Speaker of the Assembly, Mr Talat Xhaferi, congratulated membership in NATO to Montenegro and stressed that Macedonia expected the support of our country with regard to aspirations of that country for the membership in the Alliance. Member of the Defense and Security Committee, Mr Luiđ Ljubo Škrelja, said that relations between the two countries were friendly and offered all logistical support to the Macedonian Sobranie with regard to the future work of the Committee on Security and Defense of that country.

Members of Montenegrin and Macedonian parliament delegations also noted that the countries of the region should have a common goal - membership in the collective security system.
