At its Eight Meeting held today, and in accordance with Article 73 paragraph 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament, the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget held a consultative hearing of applicants to the Public Vacancy Notice for the appointment of one member of the Senate of the State Audit Institution.

All five applicants responded to the invitation for a consultative hearing: Ms Neli Ćuković, Ms Sonja Smolović, Mr Zoran Jelić, Mr Milan Kastratović, and Mr Aleksandar Vučinić.

The Committee members had the opportunity to learn about how the applicants saw the strategy of future development of the SAI, international cooperation, cooperation with the EU institutions, relations between the SAI and the Parliament of Montenegro, as well as to ask additional questions.

Following the introduction of candidates, and bearing in mind the submitted documentation as well, in accordance with Article 73 paragraph 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament, the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget the Committee decided to nominate applicant Mr Zoran Jelić.
