Chairperson of the Committee on European Integration meets Ambassador of the Republic of Romania to Montenegro

At the meeting, they pointed out excellent bilateral relations, which would also be made concrete through the stronger cooperation of parliamentary committees in charge of the EU affairs 

Chairperson of the Committee on European Integration Mr Adrijan Vuksanović today has met with H.E. Mr Ferdinand Nagy, Ambassador of the Republic of Romania to Montenegro.

At the meeting, they discussed the strong bilateral relations between Romania and Montenegro and further improvement of parliamentary cooperation, in the context of Montenegro’s accession to the European Union and the upcoming Romanian presidency of the EU in the first half of 2019. Chairperson Vuksanović pointed out that Romania contributed to the civilisational and cultural diversity of the Union, through the adoption of the European standards and values. Ambassador Nagy assessed that the two countries had achieved excellent results in their bilateral relations, and that Montenegro had achieved extraordinary results in social reforms, and in line with this, he voiced Romania’s full support to the European path of our country.

Ambassador Nagy conveyed the invitation by Ms Rovana Plumb, Chairperson of the European Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of Romania, for organising a visit of the delegation of the Committee on European Integration to Romania, in the first quarter of 2018.
