Chairperson of the Committee on European Integration Mr Adrijan Vuksanović today met with H.E. Mr Aivo Orav, Head of the EU Delegation to Montenegro, in order to discuss key aspects of European integration, with emphasis on plans of the Committee in the upcoming period.

The interlocutors exchanged opinions on the previous progress of Montenegro in the EU accession process, as well as the upcoming challenges on that path.

Chairperson Vuksanović said that Montenegro nourished European values and that via the accession process it aspired to join the club to which it belonged identity-wise. In that respect, in the upcoming period, the Committee will implement numerous activities with respect to parliamentary oversight of the process of negotiation and popularisation of the EU in the public.

At the meeting, they expressed joint expectation for continuation of good cooperation between the EU Delegation and the Committee as the first contact point within the parliamentary dimension of Montenegro’s integration in the EU.
