Committee on European Integration holds its Eight Meeting

Members of the Committee unanimoulsy endorsed the Draft negotiating positions for Chapter 17 - Economic and Monetary Union

At the meeting of the Committee on European Integration that was held today, members of the Committee considered the Draft negotiating position of Montenegro for Intergovernmental Conference on the Accession of Montenegro to the European Union for Chapter 17 - Economic and Monetary Union.

The main aspects of the document were presented by Mr Aleksandar Andrija Pejović, Minister of European Affairs and the Chief Negotiator for Montenegro's Accession to the European, and Mr Nikola Fabris, Vice-Governor for Financial Stability and Payment System of the Central Bank and member of the Negotiating Group for Chapter 17 - Economic and Monetary Union.

After discussing the content of this chapter and the upcoming activities of Montenegro in the implementation of the given commitments, members of the Committee unanimously adopted a positive opinion on the given Draft Negotiating Position.

Taking into account that the document in question was labeled "internally", the meeting was closed to the public.
