The workshop will present findings, conclusions and recommendations of the evaluation, drafted in the light of the planned approach of the Government of Montenegro and UNICEF to strengthening the monitoring system of children's rights within the Integrated UN Programme for Montenegro 2017-2021, commissioned by the UNICEF Office to Montenegro in cooperation with the ad hoc Supervisory Board.
The evaluation was carried out so that UNICEF and key national actors, including the Government of Montenegro, the Parliament of Montenegro, the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms and, in particular, the Deputy Protector for the Rights of the Child, Social Protection and Youth, civil society organisations and academia, would able to use recommendations, knowledge and insights from the evaluation, and obtain information for the development of further work programs of all partners in the public and civil sector in the field of monitoring the children's rights in Montenegro.
Also, the evaluation should serve for developing joint work programmes of the UNICEF and the Government in this field.
Representatives of the Joint Country Steering Committee, for overseeing the evaluation of the children’s rights in Montenegro, representatives of the relevant parliamentary committees, Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms, line ministries, judicial authorities, NGOs, academia and UNICEF will attend the workshop.
