On its 21st Meeting held today, the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms has considered the 2017 Status Report on Personal Data Protection and Access to Information.
President of the Council of the Agency for Personal Data Protection and Free Access to Information thinks that they have implemented the measures recommended by the EC. He announced the implementation of certain projects, as well as the continuation of cooperation with similar institutions from the country and abroad.
Members of the Committee praised the 2017 Status Report on Personal Data Protection and Access to Information, describing it as a proper, detailed, analytical and comprehensive one. They also stated that the work of the Agency was improving every year. They noted that EC’s report on Montenegro recognised progress made in this area, but also pointed to the need for further strengthening the Agency's administrative capacity.
The Committee unanimously supported the 2017 Status Report on Personal Data Protection and Access to Information, and it will submit a Report with the Proposed Conclusion to the Parliament.
