The conference on the occasion of the International Human Rights Day and the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was organised by the Government of Montenegro, Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms of Montenegro, Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, United Nations System in Montenegro, OSCE Mission, Council of Europe, Association of Lawyers of Montenegro and the NGO Civic Alliance.

It was concluded that participants of the conference had an opportunity to explore the degree of observance and protection of human rights in Montenegro, with a comprehensive overview of the two areas identified as challenges and requiring more intense efforts by all actors in society for the purpose of achieving the highest standards.
