MP Mr Mihailo Anđušić, member of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms, will take part in the Seminar on implementation of conclusions of the second cycle of monitoring the implementation of the CE Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities by Montenegro.
The Seminar is organised by the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights and will take place on the premises of the old building of the Government of Montenegro, tomorrow on 7 February 2017, starting at 9:30h.
The Seminar will be opened by Minister of Human and Minority Rights Mr Mehmed Zenka, and keynote addresses will be delivered by Director General of Directorate for Promotion and Protection of Rights of Minorities and Other National Minority Communities Mr Leon Gjokaj and Chairperson of the Advisory Committee on the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities Ms Petra Roter. Within the first session, the address will also be delivered by the expert Ms Brigita Bush, Deputy Chairperson of the Advisory Committee on the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities.
Mr Sokolj Beganaj, Independent Advisor at the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights and Mr Samir Jaha, representative of the NGO “Young Roma”, will talk about prevention of intolerance, racism, and xenophobia, especially against Roma.
In the afternoon session, two panels will be held on the following topics “Education and language rights of national minorities” and “Consultative mechanisms: functioning of the National Minority Council”. At these panels the addresses will be given by: Mr Marash Dukaj, Director General of Directorate for Education of Minorities and Other National Minority Communities at the Ministry of Education, Mr Genci Nimanbegu, President of the Albanian National Council, Mr Gazmend Cuca, Independent Advisor at the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights, Mr Momčilo Vuksanović, President of the Serb National Council, and Mr Leon Gjokaj, Director General of Directorate for Promotion and Protection of Rights of Minorities and Other National Minority Communities.
