On 28 February 2017, the Chairperson and members of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms, as well as of the Gender Equality Committee, the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sports, and the Committee on health, Labour and Social Welfare will meet with Dr Nadine Burke Harris, a paediatrician recognised worldwide for her innovative approach to solving problems relating to adverse childhood experiences.
Mr Benjamin Perks, Head of the UNICEF Office to Montenegro, will also take part in the meeting, and he will have an introductory speech on the “Stop Violence” campaign, started by the UNICEF and the Government of Montenegro last year.
During her visit to Montenegro Dr Burke Harris will also meet with representatives of the Government of Montenegro, Association of Paediatricians, professors, and students of the Medical Faculty, as well as representatives of the media, for sharing knowledge and experiences relating to quality development of children.
The meeting will be held in the Blue Room of the Parliament of Montenegro, starting at 9:45h.
