Member of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants Mr Miloš Nikolić took part in the manifestation “St. Luka’s gathering”, traditionally held in Zagreb, in the organisation of the National Community of Montenegrins in Croatia and the Association of Montenegrins and friends of Montenegro "Montenegro" Zagreb.
President of the of the National Community of Montenegrins in Croatia Mr Danilo Ivezić opened the manifestation, while the participants were addressed by Mayor of Zagreb Mr Milan Bandić, who is also the sponsor of this event.
During the gathering, welcome messages were read, sent to the organisers and participants by President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović and President of the Republic of Croatia Ms Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović.
This year’s St. Luka’s gathering marked 170th anniversary of printing the “Mountain Wreath”, while the Municipality of Šavnik was a guest of the event, headed by the President of the Municipality Mr Miomir Vujačić, who presented developmental potentials and particularities of this municipality to the participants.
Aside from the mentioned guests and hosts, the following were also present: Ambassador of Montenegro to the Republic of Croatia Mr Boro Vučinić, Ambassador of Montenegro to the Republic of Slovenia Mr Vujica Lazović, and numerous prominent Montenegrins from Croatia and friends of Montenegro.
At the end of the event, a rich cultural and artistic program was held.
