Montenegrin emigrants in the Republic of Argentina are proud of their origins, Mr Daniel Kapitanić, Vice Governor of the Chaco Province of the Republic of Argentina, said at the meeting with Mr Andrija Nikolić, Chairperson of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants.
The Chairperson of the Committee expressed satisfaction that many Montenegrin emigrants in Argentina managed to preserve the idea of a free and independent Montenegro and that they carried out significant activities aimed at preserving Montenegrin culture, tradition and language, among which the Montenegrin language school was especially distinguished, as well as the ongoing construction of the "Montenegrin house "in the province of Chaco.
The interlocutors agreed that there was room for improvement of cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, tourism, agriculture, science and culture, for which there was good normative basis through signed agreements.
Also, they showed readiness for developing parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, and in this regard, Chairperson of the Committee Mr Andrija Nikolić announced that initiative for establishing Montenegro - Argentina parliamentary friendship group would be launched.
