Mr Nagy was convinced that ratification in the United States of America, Spain, and the Netherlands would soon be completed, and that in the next NATO Summit in Brussels in May this year Montenegro would become a full-fledged member of the Alliance.
During the meeting Mr Nagy especially pointed out the significance of the parliament as the legislative institution in which all important political issues of state interest are resolved, with expectation that the opposition would return to the Parliament as soon as possible.
Chairperson of the Committee on International Relations thanked Romania for its continuous political and expert support regarding European and Euro-Atlantic integration and pointed out the significance of the last-year’s ratification of the NATO Accession Protocol for Montenegro in the Parliament of Romania.
The interlocutors assessed that the relations of the two countries were friendly, with mutually shown interest to further improve those relations in the field of economy, but also to strengthen parliamentary cooperation through the Friendship Groups which would promote good relations on all levels.
