At the continuation of its Eighth Meeting held today, the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants adopted a decision on forming 39 friendship groups of the 26th Parliament of Montenegro with the parliaments of other countries.
Compared to the previous convocation, the Committee formed 13 new groups with the following parliaments: the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Lithuania, the Czech Republic, the Republic of Slovakia, the Republic of Bulgaria, Kuwait, the Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Belarus, Israel and the Republic of Kosovo.
Furthermore, new composition of friendship groups with the following parliaments was confirmed: the Republic of Albania, the Arab Republic of Egypt, Australia, Austria, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Georgia, the Republic of Croatia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iceland, Italy, Hungary, the Republic of Macedonia, the Republic of Malta, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Poland, Romania, the Russian Federation, the United States of America, the Republic of Slovenia, the Republic of Serbia, the People's Republic of China, Ukraine, and the Republic of Turkey.
Voicing pleasure regarding the adoption of the decision on the forming of friendship groups, Chairperson of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants Mr Andrija Nikolić pointed out his expectation that, during the current convocation, this form of bilateral cooperation between countries, manifested through direct communication of parliaments, would be an effective mechanism for improvement of the existing friendly relations.
