On the occasion of 5 October, World Teachers’ Day, I would like to extend warmest congratulatory messages to all teachers in Montenegro and I wish them, first of all, good health and then a lot of success.

There can be no today’s and even that future Montenegro, which will be a part of the European family of peoples, without a well-developed, modern education system, or without respectable, capable, well-educated, and carefully selected educators who are the linchpin of that system.

This is because people make the education. It is based on people. In spite of the progress of civilisation, in spite of gigantic technological advancements in our time, there can be no education without people, without teachers, without educators.

Your mission is incredible. Therefore you should continue to carry it out, to continue to do your job, to the satisfaction of your pupils and students and then to the satisfaction of all of us.

I wish you a lot of success in this!
